The beautiful, 24% lead, handcrafted crystal vases, bowls, stemware, cups, plates, candlesticks and other pieces we offer are available in 6 colors (black, blue, green, red, teal and violet) and are made using a unique, two-step process. First, molten crystal is gathered at the end of a glass blower's blowpipe at temperatures above 2000 degrees Farenheit!! The crystal is then shaped using special molds and becomes the base of the piece. This clear crystal base is then covered by a layer of molten colored crystal and the two are allowed to fuse together at a lower temperature. Once cooled, the piece is refined by cutting through the upper-colored layer, hence exposing the clear crystal base and creating a color contrasted pattern. After a final polishing, the result is truly a work of art - a beautiful, unforgettable piece of Bohemian Crystal! |
